Introduction:
It has been a few years
since we have looked at
an EGO net and during
that time the company
has taken their well
designed floating nets
and expanded with new
versions for a greater
range of applications
including wade and
crappie fishing.

Grant shows Zander the
latest designs from EGO
EGO nets feature a
innovative grip design,
excellent strength to
weight ratio, non tangle
mesh, a unique scoop
design, light overall
weight, and they float.
Three years ago we
reviewed
the EGO Large net and
found the product to be
well designed save for
the ability to be broken
down for easier
transport.

The EGO rubber mesh
series is perfect for
catch and release
fishing, the soft rubber
prevents hook snags and
is easy on fish scales
and gills
At this year's show the
company showcased their
latest nets including a
compact version called
the EGO Wade. Designed
as the only wade and
surf landing net series
that floats the new
series is designed to be
both durable and light
weight in overall
design.

What is this shrunken
down version?
The EGO Wade comes with
a quick clip elastic
lanyard for easy
attachment to wade belts
and vests. Unlike other
nets as long as the net
is clipped in anglers
don't have to worry
about this net being far
from reach when it comes
time to land fish.

Meet the new EGO Wade,
designed for wade and
surf fishing
The EGO Wade is
available in either
rubber or nylon mesh and
in three sizes. Prices
start at 34.99 for the
small version with
rubber mesh and go up
ten dollars per size.

We were intrigued by the
long handled EGO Reach
net
While in the EGO booth
we notice a large
aluminum handled net
called the EGO reach.
This net has already
been introduced and has
become a popular net
among Crappie anglers
that need a long handle
to secure fish quickly.
The 8 foot 6 inch reach
is perfect for trolling
and spider rigging.

The EGO Reach has a
reach over 8 feet in
length
The net expands and
breaks down by extending
three segments in the
handle. They lock into
place with tension
collars. The EGO Reach
is also available with
both types of mesh and
the nylon version
retails for 34.99 while
the rubber mesh version
costs 39.99.

The EGO Reach has a
opening designed to make
landing crappie easy
Grant at EGO also showed
Zander exactly what he
had been hoping for from
the company, the latest
version of the original
net series which now
features a removable
handle which allows the
net to break down,
making them easier to
put into rod lockers or
transport in cars from
one fishing hole to the
next.

shows us the newest
floating nets from the
company
The EGO Wade series
capitalizes on all the
features that made the
original nets so good.
The quality ergonomics
make the lightweight
floating small version
of the original a wade
and surf anglers best
friend in the skinny.
The EGO Reach is as
application specific as
nets get and caters to
Crappie anglers that
want greater reach and
control than traditional
nets offer. Designed for
the savvy angler, the
EGO product offering
blends design and
technology into one easy
to handle package.
