Anglers Marine 22nd Annual Bass-A-Thon brings out the Big
Baits! (continued)

JSJ: We found Josh at the Bass-A-Thon showing anglers his newest
Snack Size Swimbaits. While the profile of the bait hasn't changed Josh has been
hard at work creating new patterns. A new baby bass pattern looked ready for
primetime, and the Shasta trout looked good enough to eat, but what really
caught our attention was the beautifully finished Ayu pattern.

The Shasta pattern looks great

The new Ayu pattern was our
favorite, we can imagine Stripers murdering this bait

Orso: When it comes to photo realistic
finishes nobody does it better than Orso. At the show Orso showcased their new
massive 16" Split tail which has five joints! This monster bait comes armed with
three hooks and will retail for 200 dollars. You better have a serious stick to
chuck one of these beasts!

One word.... Monstrous! You will
need a serious swimbait stick to throw this bait
Kamakazee: David Pook from Kamakazee bait
company showed a complete assortment of lures including the company's Treat
Swimbait paddletails. He also highlighted their tiny "Minnrs" which can be used
with jigheads as a finesse bait. The Minnrs are available in tiny 2.75 inch and
4 inch sizes in packs of ten. The smaller lures retail for $6.70 while the four
inch baits cost $7.80 per pack.

baits from Kamakazee

While we know Kamakazee best for
their "Treats" paddletails the company also makes smaller lures like the
"Minnrs" which come in 2.75 inch and 4 inch sizes
Even though the Bass-A-Thon ended six hours ago
were far from done and while there is no doubt that swimbaits stole the show
there is certainly more that warrants mentioning than just big baits, so stay
tuned for Part 2 of our Bass-A-Thon coverage.
