Lure Review

Stay On Top With Storm's Arashi Top Walker (continued)

Design and Ergonomics: My two test baits boasted the same pleasing finishes and performance. As mentioned, the weight of both the 11 and 13 sizes allows them to be thrown quite a long distance, but this can also make quite a splash in shallow water. As of this review only two sizes are available.

There's no mistaking what model of bait you have tied on.

A close view of the special hook hangars.

Application: Top Walkers should produce great whether in fresh or saltwater. The great castability of these baits also makes them perfect choices for casting at busting fish which never seem to pop-up closeby. With three trebles aboard they'll be best in clean waters where the hooks won't get fouled.

Held up to the sunlight the rattles become visible.

Pluses and Minuses:

                 Plus                                    Minus

+ Pleasing construction and finish -No non-rattling model

+ Catches fish!

I caught a lot of fish on the Top Walker in cleaner patches of water.

Conclusion: I experienced some great success while throwing the size-11 Top Walker. These are solid baits with a few nice upgrades that the fish responded to. There's a huge variety of topwaters on the market, and the Arashi Top Walker is a sweet option at a good price.
