Event Article: Pros and Press on Pardee Lake

Rain or Shine the Smallies come out for the Pros on Pardee Lake (continued)

I haven’t seen smallmouth quality as good as we had today at Pardee, and this was in very poor weather conditions. Many of the pros commented that in good weather and from March onward Pardee can be downright amazing. Many of them also agreed that at times out of all the Mother Lode lakes Pardee can also offer the best topwater fishing.

Today we had an opportunity to test a few new rods, and a couple hot new baits, but that is a story for another day. With the smallmouth caught today there is no doubt that we will be coming back to Pardee again to test some tackle.

The pros showed us why they are the "professionals," catching quality fish in some tough conditions

The Pros with some of the weekend warrior contest winners say goodbye to a great day on Pardee. You can bet we will be back, and those smallmouth better watch out!

Conclusion: The Pro’s showed us why they are the professionals, and proved that in even adverse conditions they are able to boat a quality limit of fish. We all agreed that Pardee was a truly world class fishery, one that offers angles an opportunity to catch a trophy fish, especially smallmouth, on even the nastiest of days. Kent put together a fabulous event, one filled with enthusiasm and excitement about the re-opening of the lake for the season. From the quality amenities at Jackson Rancheria, to a day with the pros on an amazing fishery we all had a great time. The only thing we would have changed was the weather, but we don’t have a whole lot of choice about that. Rain or shine, Pardee proved once again that the best time to go fishing is simply when you can.

Thanks very much to Kent Brown for putting together such a fantastic event, and all the Professional Anglers that came out for what we call "Pros and Press on Pardee" today.
