Reax PT Baitcast Reel: First up in the new lineup is Quantum's new value baitcaster, the Reax PT. This 100 size profile reel has the line capacity of the 200 size equivalents and is able to hold 145 yards of 12 pound monofilament. The Reax has an all metal construction, is built with an aluminum frame and side covers.

The new baitcast reel also has Quantum's 3rd Generation cast control, the automatic infinite ACS3 system. Also new is the new Layered PT ceramic drag system which includes both ceramic and carbon fiber discs. The reel features 7 PT Polymer-Stainless bearings, 34 IPT on the high speed reel, and a capless one-piece screw on handle. The Reax PT will retail for $169.95 and will be available first in a right-hand retrieve with two gear ratios - 7.3:1 and 6.6:1.

Energy SS PT Baitcast Reel: The Energy SS PT is positioned one step above the Reax PT we just mentioned. It features everything on the Reax PT with the addition of 9 PT Polymer-Stainless bearings instead of 7. The Energy SS PT also has a different finish than the Reax. Retail price for the new Quantum Energy SS PT is $229.95 and the reel will be available in right-hand only with two gear ratios - 7.3:1 and 6.6:1.

Tour KVD PT Baitcast Reel: With the introduction of the Tour KVD rods last season we knew it was just a matter of time before Quantum would bring out a matching KVD reel. Introducing the new Quantum Tour KVD PT baitcast reel. Appearance wise it looks much like the original Tour Edition PT with red highlights throughout. It has all the nuts and bolts of the Tour Edition PT reel such as the carbon fiber handle plus the new PT technologies mentioned (100 size - 200 line capacity, ACS3, Layered PT Ceramic drag system), and actually more. Unlike the Reax PT and Energy SS PT, the Tour KVD PT has a ceramic coated aluminum drive gear and main shaft. The reel also features 11 PT Polymer-Stainless bearings, and will be available in three different gear ratios - 7.3:1, 6.6:1, and a low cranking speed of 5.4:1. At release time the reel will be available in right-hand retrieve first and will retail for $299.95.
