Anglers Marine 22nd Annual Bass-A-Thon brings out the Big Baits! (continued)

Mattlures: Mattlures products are designed and created by Matt Servant, a devoted freshwater and saltwater fisherman who has been catching trophy fish in the highly pressured Southern California waters on his own handmade lures for years.  As well as being a lure maker, Matt is also an accomplished taxidermist who incorporates the knowledge and experience of both trades to create extreme detail and quality in the lures he develops.

Matt shows us the new production version of his Hard Bluegill series

Earlier this season we previewed the upcoming hard Bluegill Series in Alabama. The lures are now available and were being sold at the Bass-A-Thon for 50 dollars each. We had previously expected the lures to retail for much more than this so we were pleasantly surprised.

For only 50 dollars each these ultra realistic handmade baits are a steal

Each Mattlures Hard Bluegill series is 5 inches in length and weighs in at roughly 1.95oz. There is currently both a floating and sinking version and there are many patterns in the lineup, all of which make use of Matt's unique design and attention to detail to create a truly lifelike facsimile of rock bass, Crappie, Tilapia, Red Ear Sunfish, and various types of Bluegill.

In addition to the new Bluegill swimbaits matt also showed us the mass production version of his new swimbait rods which we first saw last ICAST. There are two levels of rods, the 249 dollar rods feature Fuji SiC guides and the 159 dollar rods will make use of Alconite guides. The more expensive rods come with a lifetime warranty and the cheaper ones will come with a 3 year warranty. They are available now in powers ranging from Medium all the way to XXX-Heavy for those supersized swimbaits.

Matt also now has his swimbait rods in full production
