New bait designed for the 2009 Bassmaster Classic,
Powerbait Crazy Legs Chigger Craw
Powerbait 4" Crazy Legs Chigger Craw: Berkley's series
of Chigger baits have been extremely popular and effective at catching more
bass. It must be the combination of Powerbait and the design of the lure itself.
I really like using the standard Chigger Craw as a trailer for jigs I bounce at
the bottom but now there's something new to add to my bag of tricks. The new
four inch Crazy Legs Chigger Craw is a blend of the standard Chigger Craw and
mixing in the Crazy Legs that we've seen from the effective Crazy Legs Jerk
Shad. The new bait will not only be effective as a trailer for bottom bouncing
or swimming jigs but can be rigged Texas or Carolina styles.

The Crazy Legs Chigger Craw now
has those active appendages that produces much fish attracting action with
minimal work from the angler
“When I won the million dollar FLW Championship in
2007 I was fishing with a prototype of the Crazy Legs Chigger Craw,” said Scott
Suggs, Berkley Pro Team Member. “And obviously it paid huge dividends. The
PowerBait 4-inch Crazy Legs Chigger Craw is perfect for slow or fast
presentations, and is proven to catch fish in any conditions.”
The Powerbait Crazy Legs Chigger Craw is available
in 10 fish attracting colors: Black Blue Fleck, Black Red Fleck, Breen, Cinnamon
Purple Fleck, Green Pumpkin, Green Pumpkin Blue Fleck, Green Pumpkin Party,
Pumpkin Green Fleck, Watermelon, and Watermelon Candy. Each re-sealable package
will include six baits and will run for $3.99 per bag.

Whichever way you rig and fish the
Crazy Legs Chigger Craw, the Crazy Legs will flutter wildly while the claws will
flap as the lure swims
Powerbait 4.75" Slim Shaky Worm: I have to admit it, recently the last
few times that I went bass fishing the conditions weren't ideal, especially
those days after heavy storms and freezing cold temperatures. A few times I
fished my standard winter baits and yes, I skunked, didn't even manage to catch
any dinks. It's only those outings where I turned to finesse techniques that I
was able to land some decent size winter bass, with one such technique being the
shakey worm.

The finesse technique could be the
key to winning the 2009 Bassmaster Classic in Red River Louisiana, one new bait
designed for this style of fishing is the new Berkley Powerbait Slim Shaky Worms
Berkley is bringing us a new finesse bait for
those tough days on the water when going light is the key to getting bite. The
4.75 inch Powerbait Slim Shaky Worm has a unique design. The "head" of the Slim
Shaky Worm is fatter, mid-body has a somewhat gradual hour-glass shape, and then
a slightly enlarged tail end that's not too big but it gives the worm enough
mass to create subtle action and more vibration with the slightest rod tip
movement.
“Many of the impoundments that the BASS Elites
compete on are heavily fished by local traffic,” said Skeet Reese, Berkley Pro
Team Member. “Finesse fishing has become a go-to method to coax pressured fish
to strike. PowerBait 4 ¾ Slim Shaky Worms are perfect for these types of
situations. It is easy to rig it on a light jig or fine wire hook.”

Designed to give the most action
with the slightest rod tip movement
The new Berkley Powerbait Slim Shaky Worms are
available in eight exciting colors: Baby Bass, Pumpkinseed, Purple, Green
Pumpkin, Watermelon, Watermelon Big Red, Watermelon Candy, and Blue Fleck. The
Slim Shaky Worms will retail for $3.99 each bag with 12 per package.
Gulp! Alive! 7" Super Worm:
Berkley introduced the Slim Shaky Worm for finesse applications but they are
also releasing a larger worm that can be fished throughout the year. The design
has been available for many years as the standard 7 inch Power Worm and used by
anglers all over the world but now the team is introducing the bait with Gulp!
Alive!.

Introducing the Gulp! Alive! Super Worm
The Gulp! Alive! 7 inch Super Worm is sold in
Berkley's Gulp! Alive! oval buckets and bags, soaking in the Gulp! Alive! juice
that has been proven effective at having fish hold longer or come back for a
second strike if the first was missed.
“It doesn’t matter what time of year or where I am
fishing the Berkley 7-inch Power Worm is always in my boat,” said Skeet Reese,
Berkley Pro Team Member. “But now that proven shape and action has been super
charged with Gulp! Alive!. The Super Worm is an old school bait revamped to
handle any fishing situation.”

The Super Worm is similar to the
Power Worm except the Gulp! Alive! formula is added to the product
The new Gulp! Alive! Super Worms offer the same
action and features as the classic 7 inch Power Worm. With a natural
presentation and swimming tail, the 7 inch Super Worms are ideal for any fishing
conditions. The available colors are: Black, Blue Fleck, Breen, Green Pumpkin,
Watermelon, Red Shad, and Tequila Sunrise. The new bait will retail for $19.99
per bucket or $5.99 for a 7 count bag.
