Shimano:
As we all know Shimano
redesigned the Curado for 2006. Though the Curado D’s are heavier than their
predecessors, they are more solid than ever. We were able to analyze both the
right and left handed models of the 100 and 200 size, and appreciated the
further refined ergonomics. The 2006 reels are absolutely solid and use top
grade components, but we wish they featured the Shimano ARB bearings.

Isaac shows us the Torsa, Trevala Rod, and Butterfly Jigs
At ICAST, we saw the Torsa
and Butterfly jigs that are now widely available. These items were a big hit and
we had to fight our way in to get a closer look. These jigs are designed
differently than the irons we’ve grown accustomed to using and have extremely
wild and unique reflective patterns.
