Daiwa:
The guys at the Daiwa
booth had a lot to show us too. The eye catching, colored reels caught our
attention immediately. Brightly shining in Cal’s eyes was the introduction of
the left-handed TD Sol baitcast reel. Finally! Now anglers who use left-hand
retrieve reels, but prefer to stick with domestic products, can add the Daiwa TD
Sol to their arsenal.

Daiwa has always been on
the forefront of spinning reels and this year they are introducing a product
that’s sure to open a lot of eyes and empty quite a few pocket books. It is the
brand new Exceler spinning reel featuring an ultralight precision computer die
cast aluminum alloy body, DigiGear digital gear design for speed, power, and
durability, silent oscillation, a machined handle, Twist Buster II, Gyro System,
a 7 bearing system, (1 RB, 4BB, and 2 CRBB), and a spare aluminum spool. The
price you ask? Right around $60!
