A behind the scenes look inside Tackle Warehouse (continued)

Customer Service: One of the things that Rich really envisioned was a higher level of service and support for anglers. Brandon heads up Tackle Warehouse’s team of trained customer service reps that can troubleshoot any product issues as well as make tackle recommendations to anglers unsure of which product to buy for their application.

The customer service room where representatives answer direct calls and emails from customers

While the majority of all orders come through the online store there are still customers that prefer to talk to a representative and place their order over the phone. Tackle Warehouse’s team is more than happy to accommodate these customers, and when we were there the phone was ringing off the hook. When it comes to customer emails the team tries to get back to anglers the same day during operational hours.

The future: So what is next for Tackle Warehouse? Earlier we mentioned that the company had moved two times already, and each move was necessary to meet the increased demand for more items and inventory as well as increased volume. The next chapter in Tackle Warehouse’s growth will occur in just a few months when the company moves to it’s forth location.

This area will house the new Tackle Warehouse retail store on the first floor and offices above

A number of the Warehouses, including Tackle Warehouse, Tennis Warehouse, Inline Warehouse, and Running Warehouse will be all be consolidated into a massive facility just across from their current office. This was once the home of Copelands distribution center, and is now being completely redesigned and retrofitted with new offices, warehouses, as well as a much grander Tackle Warehouse retail storefront.

Tackle Warehouse will have plenty of room to expand with this new facility, but the move was really necessary as the company has realized explosive growth

When we visited the new location we were amazed by how much space the new Tackle Warehouse would have. There will be large open areas for racks of tackle, and offices are being built on top to make the most efficient use of space within the giant 142,000 square feet new facility.

The ability to stock and handle larger items means that Tackle Warehouse will be able to start selling larger items including boat supplies and even trolling motors
