Introduction: As the Daiwa and Evergreen partnership continues to bring new rods and lures to the U.S. market the two company's are working hard to bring more of their application specific products to America. This ICAST to pair with their new Gizmo topwater baits Evergreen us also introducing a new spinning Combat Stick designed specifically to fish the new baits and other smaller topwater baits. For anglers that prefer casting bigger topwater lures they will also be introducing a new Showerblows Combat Stick that offers a unique combination of action and power.

Daiwa and Evergreen have worked together to bring domestic anglers two more new Combat Sticks

Gizmo Special: The newest edition to the Evergreen rods lineup is the Gizmo Special rod which is designed to fish the small Evergreen Gizmo topwater baits. The action is designed to cast the lighter baits and pull and subtly animate baits on the top of the water with XX fast tip.

The Gizmo Special is ideal for ultra-light bass angling but still designed with enough power to pull the fish away from structure. The lightweight carbon graphite blank with a solid "Mega Top" solid tip is extremely sensitive to the quick, topwater take.

The carbon element in the rod's blank is strong for its diminutive weight. Fuji Tangle Free K- Guides allow small jigs to cast easily and the small footprint of the guides does little to inhibit the bend of the blank. Ergonomically the camouflage Split EVA Grip allows direct contact with the sensitive blank while providing anglers with a comfortable grip, and the graphite reel seat and styled carbon fore-nut locks down spinning reels securely. The Gizmo Special will retail for $199.99 and come backed with a 5 year warranty.

Showerblows: The Showerblows topwater bait is already a choice option for bass anglers, and this ICAST the company is introducing a Combat Stick specifically designed for this popular bait. The new rod was designed as a collaborative effort between Daiwa and Evergreen and made to loads properly to effectively launch the bait. Once in the water the tip action makes it easy to bring the Showerblows bait to life and the backbone is built for a positive consistent hook set.

The unique configuration of the Showerblows rod is the rare combination of a medium-light action on a medium-heavy rod rated for 10-20-pound test.

Hardware consists of Fuji Tangle Free K- Guides and Fuji Alconite Rings that can handle everything from mono to braid. Like other Combat Sticks the split camo EVA handles provide a firm grip while adding a sensitivity to the blank.
