Introduction:
With each passing year at ICAST, Lew's booth seems to be filled with product that is more and more diverse. It's obvious the company wants to be known for more than just fishing reels and this year, they have a few more products that serve as evidence of their broader goals.

Introducing Lew's new Mach Hatchpack tackle bag

Mach Hatchpack: New from Lew's for the 2020 season is their Mach Hatchpack tackle bag. It's a back pack style bag built with 600D polyester with honeycomb ripstop panels and EVA wall construction. The bag has 7 compartments and 5 rubber mesh pouches giving anglers a host of storage options. The bag holds up to 5, 3700 sized tackle boxes. There are even specialized compartments for sunglasses, pliers, and sunscreen. The Mach Hatchpack measures 20" H x 16" W x 9.25" D and will retail for $129.99.

Lew's partners with Lucas Oil for a new option in reel lube

HyperSpeed Lubricant: Lew's teamed up with Lucas Oil to introduce their new HyperSpeed lubricant. Each bottle contains 1oz of a custom formulated blend of synthetic oils specially formulated by the engineers at Lucas Oil for today's baitcast reels. It is a long-lasting and oxidation resistant product that will not form residual lacquers or gums. It is designed to maintain bearing life and increase performance. Each bottle includes a needle applicator for precise delivery of lubricant. HyperSpeed Lubricant will retail for $8.99 per bottle.

Lew's Mach 2 Rods feature custom designed reel seats

Mach 2 Rods: Built on premium IM8 graphite blanks, Lew's new Mach 2 rods feature the company's own, custom designed reel seats on both the casting and spinning rods, stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts, and Winn Dri-Tack polymer grips. There will be a total of 10 casting and 12 spinning models for the value price of $99.99.

Retail price is set for $99

Custom Lite SLP: Lew's latest reel for their SLP platform is a TansoTech carbon fiber framed reel with a titanium, aircraft-grade Duralumin spool. It is outfitted with 11 bearings and Lew's P2 Super Pinion providing better gear mesh for smoother cranking, longer casts, and extended gear life. The reel features the company's latest 6-pin, 27-position centrifugal brake system designed for both accuracy and distance casting. Best of all, this reel is specified by the manufacturer as weighing only 4.9 ounces.

With the TansoTech carbon fiber construction the new Lew's Custom Lite SLP is the lightest reel ever produced by Lew's, and will retail for $279.99 in both left and right hand retrieve.

The lightest Lew's casting reel to date, the Custom Lite SLP is spec'd at only 4.9 oz!

Lew's desire to be a more well rounded tackle company is quite evident. This year, with the introduction of a new tackle bag and reel lubricant, they've done a good job of diversifying their product catalog while at the same time extending their core offerings with a new top end casting reel and refreshed series of value rods.
