ICAST 2015 Coverage

It's Prime Time for STORMR Foul Weather Gear

Location: Orlando, FL

Manufacturer: Stormr
Reviewer: Zander

Introduction:
Stormr continues to develop new foul weather garments for anglers that are looking for the ultimate in protection. One of the features that sets their high end garments apart from the fray is the use of neoprene to deliver a comfortable, durable, and highly effective barrier from the elements. This ICAST the company unveiled their new "Prime" jacket for both fresh and saltwater anglers.

STORMR's newest garment is the Prime Jacket

Prime Time: STORMR introduces a brand new neoprene jacket called the "Prime" which looks like the younger sibling of the company's hard core TYPHOON and STRYKR lines. This modern looking jacket is designed to maintain the value of the TYPHOON while still providing a lot of the advanced features of the STRYKR jacket.

The Prime jacket is constructed out of the company's Neoprene Core Technology

This includes excellent wind and water protection from the Neoprene Core technology, and while this garment may look like armor it actually feels quite light and offers free range of motion for all day casting, whether you are on the deck of saltwater charter or bass boat.

Pro Angler John Crews shows us the new Prime Jacket

New features that are found on the Prime include pit-zips for improved ventilation and comfort, as well as a brand new water sealing cuff and closure system that keeps water from running down angler's sleeves when fishing in the pouring rain.

The Prime has an excellent adjustable hood that is designed to shield anglers from pouring rain

Other Prime features include an adjustable hood, full length interior storm flap, an adjustable waistband, non-corrosive splash proof zippers, interior mesh gear pockets, a fleece lined interior for comfort, and 3M reflective tape for high visibility in low light conditions. The Prime looks like a great jacket for anglers that enjoy a wide variety of fishing applications and will be available for $300 dollars in wither black or signature STORMR "Safety Orange" on September 1st.

A favorite among bass anglers, the Fusion jacket, gets new color options

More Fusion: The Fusion jacket and matching bib have become quite popular among both weekend warriors and pro anglers that are looking for a lighter, yet still high performing and durable foul weather solution. The Fusion is a favorite among bass anglers because of the compact design that feels light when worn, and the ability to pack the garment down into a very compact bundle.

John Crews and Nick Lassor highlight the bright new Fusion patterns that are starting to ship to retailers now

The Fusion jacket may be much lighter than the STRYKR and new PRIME but it still exhibits plenty of STORMR DNA and makes smart use of neoprene with the company's VAPR (Variable-stretch Advanced Performance Raingear) technology, which is basically the lighter weight equivalent to the company's Neoprene Core Technology. The VAPR technology is employed in key areas in the jacket for superior protection and durability. Up until now the Fusion has been available in only black but this ICAST the company introduced two new color options, light grey and blue for anglers to mix it up on the water. These new more brightly colored Fusion jackets are starting to ship now and will retail for $259 dollars. It looks like the company is primed for another banner year, offering angler's exciting new garments that help anglers stay comfortable while catching fish in all conditions.
