Strike King Expands their Leading Arsenal

Date: 8/31/14
Location: Orlando, FL
Admission: Buyers & Press Only
Manufacturer: Strike King
Reviewer: Zander

Introduction:
Strike King is a leader in the lure industry and has one of the biggest arsenals of baits used on tour, as well as one of the biggest Pro Staff roster including some of the biggest names including KVD and Greg Hackney, James Niggemeyer, Denny Brauer and young gun Chris Zaldain. We met up with Chris at the Strike King booth where he highlighted an assortment of exciting new baits from the brand.

Strike King's newest Rage tail plastic bait, the Rage Bull

Rage Bull: The newest addition to the Strike King Rage Tail Series is the new Rage Bug. This bait features Rage Tail flanges for very subtle action at very slow speeds and is designed for use behind Strike King's Jointed Structure Head but is also a great choice for flipping or Carolina rigging. All Rage Tail baits are packaged in individual clam shell packages to hold it's shape until use, which means no more deformed bodies right out of the pack.

Denny's new Structure Jig is designed to get into the zone and not get hung up

Denny Brauer Structure Jig: Leave it to Denny Brauer to come up with a better jig. The new Strike King Structure Jig is designed to increase the hook up ratio and decrease the tendency to hang up versus traditional jigs used for targeting fish in tight structure.

The Cobra Head design is the key

The special Owner 2X strong Cutting Point hook has a zero degree line tie for a straight pull with the hook for better penetration while the unique Cobra Head design puts less material in the hook gap for a better bite and its tapered nose is designed to help reduce lip blow out. The Cobra Head's shape and weedguard angle reduce hang ups and the wide bottom footprint of the head helps to increase feel of the bottom. Lot's of science behind this new jig!

The new Naked Rage Blade...

Tour Grade Naked Rage Blade: Strike King continues to add to their bladed swim jig lineup and the new Naked Rage Blade is just like the original but with a new clear blade for use when no flash is desired in ultra clear water conditions.

...features a clear blade for use in clear water conditions

Instead of the traditional skirt found on most swim jigs this one is pre-rigged with the company's own Blade Minnow body on the custom Gamakatsu hook.

KVD's new shallow runner

Pro Model KVD 1.5 Shallow Runner: The newest Strike King Pro-Model is a shallow diver that is the same body style as the famous KVD 1.5 but runs even shallower. This bait delivers erratic yet true running action and deflection off cover. It also features a chip resistant finish and 3D eyes, exactly what we have come to expect from the company's proven cranks.

Thanks to Pro Angler Chris Zaldain for showing us the new lineup from Strike King

Is there a bait type that Strike King doesn't make? It certainly doesn't seem like it. Strike King continues their march to lure domination with an ever growing lineup of lure offerings that are favored by used by both pros and everyday anglers looking for baits that deliver strikes without breaking the bank.
