Introduction:
Snag Proof is still the king of frogs, and while there are many new offerings from other brands more Pro Anglers continue to turn to the proven performance of Snag Proof hollow bodied frogs than any other. This season the company has expanded their offerings with two new offerings designed to illicit more of those spectacular topwater strikes.

Bobby's new frog features a hybrid buzzbait design

Bobby’s Perfect Buzz: Bobby Barrack knows frogs, and especially knows how to win with them out in the West. This season he has added a blade on the front and paddle tails in the back of his “Perfect Frog” hollow body to create the “Perfect Buzz.”

The back legs feature paddle tails for even more splash on the surface

The Perfect Buzz features a lightweight blade that makes it easy for the frog to get churning the second it is retrieved and the “kickin’” paddle feet churn up extra water to call up bass from below. This buzzfrog is designed to be fished with 50-65lb. braided line alongside or right on top of heavy vegetation.

Inside the Perfect Buzz is a glass rattle for extra noise and this frog features the same ITT (inner tube technology) originally created for Ish’s Phat Frog to prevent water from swamping the bait. To ensure solid hookups this 3/4oz. frog is armed with a Gamakatsu hook and the bait will be available in six patterns which include popular Black, White, Brown, and Sexy Frog.

Snag Proof is also worked with B.A.S.S. Elite Series Angler Chris Lane to create the Guntersville Frog

The Guntersville Frog: Fishing Lake Guntersville is definitely on my bucket list, and the frog bite on the lake is the stuff of legend. To target these monsters Snag Proof has created the new “Guntersville Frog.” This bait features the same familiar profile but with a design that incorporates some of the custom elements that anglers have been using to doctor their frogs specifically for this lake.

Instead of skirts for legs the Guntersville Frog has extra rattles on each side

The first thing you notice on the frog is the absence of skirts for the legs, and in their place are a rattle on either side. Pro Angler Chris Lane worked with Snag Proof on this concept and the frog continues to perform well for him. The extra rattles put out extra noise and vibration and behind them are two very short stubby plastic legs which bring the target closer to the main body, this helps reduce short strikes. Like other Snag Proof frogs the Chris Lane Guntersville Frog features a soft collapsible body to expose a Gamakatsu EWG hook.

Like all Snag Proof frogs the Guntersville Frog has a soft hollow body that exposes the hooks

Conclusion: Both of the new frogs are now becoming available and are hitting retail and e-tail stores. Bobby’s Perfect Buzz retails for just 50 cents more than the standard version which is reasonable considering the extra hardware. Both new frogs are designed to provide anglers with new ways to fish a very popular and exciting style of bait. It only takes one massive blow up to make anglers Frog Fishermen for life and it is good to see venerable players like Snag Proof continuing to mix it up.
