Introduction: The first thing Ish Monroe asked us when we caught up with him at the Snag Proof Booth was, “where’s Ms. Casey?”. To say he is a fan would be an understatement, but what excites bass pro more than the potential of meeting one of the TT Girls is talking about his new bait. What might that bait be you ask? Introducing Ish’s Phat Frog by Snag Proof.

Frogs, frogs, what’s in a frog? The first thing we asked Ish about his frog was what makes it different than all the other frogs on the market today? Ish’s answer? It’s unsinkable.

New from Snag Proof is Ish's Phat Frog.

All the floating, soft rubber frogs on the market today share one thing in common – after working them for a while, they eventually fill with water. This is due to the fact there are holes through the body of the frog to thread the hook through. Afterall, if your frog doesn’t have a hook, how are you going to catch a fish on it?

The difference with Ish's Frog? It features an air chamber that is separate from that of the hook and sealed for leak proof functionality.

Ish's Phat Frog will be available in eight different colors including, The Man, shown here.

Ish’s Phat Frog eliminates this issue by the construction of two separate chambers – one to house the hook, the other to serve as the frog’s collapsible body with a sealed air chamber. Ish and Snag Proof have sealed all the leaks.

Another difference with this frog is the spacing between the legs. They're much closer together mitigating against the tendency for them to be entangled in the hooks.

Another difference is Ish’s Phat Frog’s legs are closer together mitigating against the propensity of rubber nubs extending from the base of the frog’s body to hold the rubber strands to foul the bait by being forced up and around the hook during a violent fish strike.

Ish lets out a big smile as he describes this particular color... what is it?

Ish’s Phat Frog will be available in October 2009 and will be offered in eight colors for a price point of $7.49.

Why none other than Sexy Ish of course.

Also new from Ish will be a web store located at www.yoishstore.com that will give fans a peak into Ish's tackle box and give them the opportunity to buy baits in exclusive colors including the Phat Frog and even some Punchskirts by Paycheck Baits. Time frame for the webstore's launch is sometime this coming fall.

Ish's new Phat Frog promises to be a hit with froggers.

Conclusion: With the plethora of frog offerings at this year's ICAST, Ish's Phat Frog is one of the more intriguing. With this list of similar product hitting store shelves, don't be surprised if the TT Crew takes it upon themselves to go on a frog hunt next year to see which one comes out on top. How will Ish's frog rate? There's only one way to find out!
