The Ardent F-700 is a redesigned and improved
F-500 incorporating new features to increase performance and effectiveness for

To give it more muscle on a short and stressful short hookset the F-700 will have a new heavier stainless steel handle and two
additional ball bearings for an overall upgraded package
of 7 bearings total. In addition the reel will have a hefty 22 pounds of drag
force that's needed for those powerful, close encounter hooksets.

Conclusion: In 2008 Ardent introduced one of the most unique
reels on the market, plainly put the F-500 simply looked like no other reel out there. This
reel's front end has no levelwind but just a guide to feed the line through. It's designed specifically for the bass fishing technique of
flipping. The reel has an extremely narrow spool and thus no levelwind was
needed. Well, this year at ICAST Ardent has introduced the Denny Brauer
Signature F-700 Flip-N-Pitch reel which is specifically designed to Denny's specifications which
