Introduction: The Falcon BuCoo rods were actually released for sale prior to the show, but ICAST represents the official launch for these aggressively priced rods. The BuCoo rods are Falcon's new aggressively priced mainstream line based on the company's own made in the USA blanks.

Meet the Falcon BuCoo rods, designed to offer "A Lot" for very little money

So what exactly does the name "BuCoo" mean? The moniker actually comes from the French word "Beaucoup" which means "A lot." Ask any angler in Louisiana how many fish he caught and the answer is usually "Beaucoup," and it is this popular expression that inspired both the name and design of this new lineup of rods.

BuCoo rods are finished with lightweight EVA split foam grips

The BuCoo rods make use of blanks made right here in the USA and feature Fuji Hardloy guides and exposed blank reel seats finished with lightweight EVA split-foam grips. They felt light in our hands as each rod weighs in at just under 4oz. and the overall finishes on the rods is both clean and simple.

Even though only 99-109 dollars these rods are made in America

The BuCoo series has seven casting rods and three spinning models, and each rod is specifically designed for a particular application. These rods are all Medium to Medium-Heavy action and are 6'6" to 7' in length. The current BuCoo lineup covers every bass application except tossing full sized swimbaits.

The team at Falcon state that though the BuCoo rods are designed for experienced pros the modest price will allow new tournament anglers, such as those on college teams to acquire a full set of matching rods. That "modest" price is only $99.99-$109.99 depending on the model.

Conclusion: The Falcon BuCoo rods offer "Beaucoup" features and performance for a rod priced at the one hundred dollar price point. With the economy taking a toll on everyone a number of custom rod manufacturers introduced mainstream priced rods this ICAST, and the Falcon BuCoo rods are among the best when it comes to an aggressively priced series of rods that still make use of Fuji components. These rods are a great value, and unlike many of the other rods displayed at ICAST they are already available now.
