Impressions:
The Incyte is an attractive reel with eye-catching red highlights on
various parts of the spool. In addition there are other detailed components that
fit the reel nicely throughout its construction.

The Quantum Incyte is
positioned right below the
Performance Tuned (PT) series and uses a lightweight graphite body design but has
an aluminum side cover and butt cap that provides a strong rigid support system.
The reel has a solid machined aluminum handle with an ergonomic knob. In
addition the reel has 10 stainless steel bearings plus one clutch bearing, and
adding to its great value the Incyte comes with an extra spare aluminum spool.
Though the
body is graphite it uses an aluminum side cover for structural support

The Incyte
10-size was the chosen to be tested against aggressive trout
Field Tests:
Though I’ve handled all sizes of the Quantum Incyte and the construction is the
same, I chose the smallest size for the in-depth review in anticipation for the
trout opener in April. The Incyte IT10F was put against hard-fighting trout that
had been stocked in a lake the previous year before it closed. These fish fight
much harder than recently stocked trout and they provided a good test for Incyte
spinning reel.

bearings are used
