Event Article: 2006 ISE Show - San Mateo

The ISE celebrates its 30 year anniversary in style by showcasing new tackle in San Mateo, CA (continued)

Quantum: After covering Quantum’s new products at ICAST and last week’s Fred Hall Show we were surprised as we walked by the Quantum booth at ISE. The Quantum team informed us that they just received some new products. That immediately caught our attention and we found ourselves once again inside their booth to check out "what’s new." This time it was all about their rods.

The Tour Edition PT Signature Series is all new for 2006. Quantum worked with their pro-staff to build each and every one of these sticks. Each rod was prototyped, tested, and then tweaked some more until each professional angler who includes Kevin VanDam, Shaw Grisby, Gary Klein, Mike Wurm, Dean Rojas, Paul Elias, and Gerald Swindle were happy with the end results. You will find one or two of these exciting rods per anglers, built to their specifications and their favorite techniques, and have very good detailing and craftsmanship. These bass rods are targeted towards specific applications that range from finesse to froggin’ to swimbait fishing. These rods are launching now and will be widely available at local and online stores retailing for $179 and below.

The Shaw Grisby signature rod features a custom style split grip

A great hook hanger on the split grip can accommodate any lure or weight

The Mike Wurm signature rod has glass filled nylon rings in the handle to provide constant contact with the rod blank, now that's innovative

A close up of the signature series, each bears the signature of the pro involved in the design

Attractive and detailed threading on these rods

The swimbait special even has a blank through

The swimbait special features a fantastic backbone
