2014 Lake Eufaula, GA Outdoor Writer's Conference (continued)

George T. Bagby State Park, Georgia: Have interest in visiting Lake Eufaula, Georgia first hand but unsure of where to stay? George T. Bagby State Park is located right on the shores of the lake and is a somewhat unique state park facility. They offer sixty rooms and suites, some of which are even pet friendly. Additionally, there are five secluded cabins on the grounds each with 2 bedrooms, full kitchens, a living room and lakeside views.

Fishing and other water sports are not the only recreational opportunity at this state park. The much heralded Meadow Links championship golf course is within park grounds that also offers a host of hiking and biking trails, a private swimming pool, tennis courts, and more.


The sixty rooms and suites are accessed from the outside on two sides of the building.

The lodge also offers modern conference facilities suitable for small to medium sized groups and four different locations to host wedding ceremonies. The Pilot House Grille overlooks the lake and can seat up to 169 people for southern style buffet dining.

Of course if fishing is what you have in mind, know that George T. Bagby State Park is fully equipped with a two lane launch ramp, full marina, and overnight charging stations at the parking lot back at the lodge to keep your batteries fresh and ready for each new day of fishing.
