Lure Review

Creating a RUCKUS With Fresh New Designs, River2Sea (continued)

Features: The Ruckus comes equipped with proprietary factory hooks by River2Sea. It is available in a somewhat limited palate at the moment, but in all three finish options. As its name would suggest, it is also only available in rattle mode.

Time to take a look inside.

Design/Ergonomics: The Ruckus carries with it a very familiar profile. Bait to bait consistency is very good and while the bait is only available in one size, the three quarter ounce (3/4oz) size is the real sweet spot for lipless cranks. Realism for the bait is good as is hook spacing.

No wonder this bait makes so much noise.. check out all the rattle chambers!

Application: River2Sea's Ruckus is an old school lipless crank. Tie it on, toss it out, and crank it up. Through grass, over rip rap, under docks, this bait will call them out but there's no finesse with this bait.

Pluses and Minuses:

Plus

Minus
+ Really good action on the fall - Tough to find at the moment
+ If you want a noisy bait, this one is worth considering - A little pricey

Still relatively new to the market, this bait might cause quite the.... stir once it hits store shelves.

Conclusion: The Ruckus is still relatively new to market. Introduced at ICAST, it has yet to show up in any of our recommended online retailers. We look forward to seeing it on store shelves and continuing the trend River2Sea has set forth in upping the quality and performance aspects of their baits.
