Introduction:
2017 was a big year for Abu Garcia at ICAST. It was then the company introduced their 4th iteration of their popular REVO series of low profile baitcasting reels. This year, the company is extending the Revo4 refresh to two of their more specialty and extreme performing reels.

The Rocket receives the Gen 4 refinements

All housed in the same, comfortable frame.

Revo4 Rocket: The original Revo Rocket, introduced during the Revo3 generation, was a blazing 9.0:1 retrieve ratio reel with good power and a super comfortable profile. The Revo4 Rocket is essentially the same reel with three key improvements: First, it is now a 10.1:1 reel; Second it receives the gen 4 Power Stack Carbon Drag system: and third, the main gear is now made of brass instead of hardened aluminum.

See that huge gearbox?

The new Rocket is a 10.1:1 gear ratio reel!

This means a smoother, more durable construction in a reel that has a rated IPT of 41 inches per turn of the handle! Retail price for the Revo4 Rocket will remain the same at $299.99.

From the other side.

The carbon handle is carried over from gen 3.

Revo4 Beast: The Revo4 Beast is slimmed down compared to previous models, but maintains the same, larger line capacity rating (240 yards of 12lb mono) and an increased rated drag capacity of thirty pounds (30lbs)! It features a brass gear with the same Power Stack Carbon Matrix drag system only with one extra carbon washer. This reel comes equipped with Abu Garcia's Infini braking system and will be available in a 5.8:1 & 7.3:1 gear ratio in both left and right hand retrieve for $279.95.

The Gen4 Beast is downsized in frame only.

Same super long handle.

Same line capacity, just a smaller overall size.
