Introduction: Tuscaroran lures has built up a following among pro
anglers and most famous of which is the Rude Frog. This year the company
introduces a few other new plastics that are designed to be fished a variety of
ways.

The Rude Frog is a plastic frog
that is able to right itself even when at rest
For those anglers that have not heard of
Tuscaroran lures the company is named in tribute to the ancestors of one of the
owners, the Tuscaroran Native American Tribe.

A hook slot is provided on top of
the lure
Rude Frog: The Rude Frog is a plastic
bodied frog that can be fished weedless in all types of vegetation. It is
designed to swim the right side up and not roll over even when at rest. The frog
is available in ten life like colors that make the frog look more like a hollow
bodied frog than a soft plastic. All anglers need to do is rig it with a 5/0
hook and the Rude Frog is ready to wake up big fish. A three pack retails for
$8.99.

Designed for topwater work the
Cherokee Ripper can be buzzed or jerked
Cherokee
Ripper:
The Cherokee Ripper is a fluke like lure that is designed to be fished on top,
but can also be rigged with extra weight to target fish deeper down as well.
Under the surface this lure is designed to exhibit a swimbait action to attract
suspended fish. Because of it’s smaller profile, the Cherokee Ripper is designed
to be effective when targeting sluggish fish or in bad weather. Buzz it, Swim
it, Jerk it, Jig it, Texas rig it, Carolina rig it or Drop shot it. It comes in
15 colors and retails for $7.99 for an 8 pack

The Tomahawk can be fished on top
or as a traditional subsurface swimbait
Tomahawk:
The Tomahawk swimbait is designed to be a very versatile lure
that can be worked as a buzz bait on top or under the surface as a more
traditional swimbait. In many ways the Tomahawk looks like a more full bodied
version of the Cherokee Ripper. A 4 pack retails for $7.99 and there are 15
colors available.

The Thunder Stix is not your
ordinary worm...
Thunder Stix: For those anglers that have
the confidence to fish massive baits the company also produces hand poured
Thunder Stix worms. These fully round trick worms are absolutely huge and come
in either 10" or 16" sizes.

...and comes in 10" and 16" sizes
They are so big that they come a single worm per
tube and retail for $4.25 each. These worms are available in a huge variety of
custom colors and are special ordered direct from the manufacturer.

The team at Tuscaroran shows us
the great colors the Rude Frog comes in
Conclusion: The latest
lures from Tuscaroran all look like they are ready for primetime. The lures
share a great attention to detail and the company's roots in hand pours is
evident throughout the line. The Rude Frog may be the company's best known lure
but the new offerings including the new fluke/swimbait style Cherokee Ripper and
Tomahawk should expose the company to many new anglers including those on the
West Coast.
