A New, 'WILD' Crop of Carrots from e21

Introduction: Just three short years ago, e21 burst onto the scene taking Best of Show honors at ICAST with their unmistakably orange sticks infused with carrot biofibers. Their roller coaster ride since 2007 is well documented and includes a couple of mixed reviews in our article archive. Earlier this year, we broke the story revealing the immediate availability of their very own series of micro guided rods. e21 has now dove head long into the micro guide craze not only with a refinement of their original Micro lineup, but with two entirely new lines of micro-guided rods!

Carrot Stix Wild: With five casting and three spinning models in the series, e21 introduces a value line of micro-guided rods. These sticks feature a traditional, exposed blank reel seat, foam grips, and Pac Bay semi micro-guides with Zirconium inserts and will retail for $99.

The original LTX series gets renamed to Professional Grade.

Both the Wild Series and Professional Grade come with semi-micros by Pac Bay.

Micro-Guide: When we published our preview of e21’s original Carrot Stix Micro-Guide rods, we were told to expect 11 casting and 3 spinning models. When we inquired about specifications for the entire lineup, things were changing too fast for them to respond. Now at ICAST 2010, the dust has finally settled and the lineup now features 10 casting rods and only 2 spinning models. This top end series from e21 will feature a Helical bias blank for increased hoop strength, cork grips, a split reel seat, Fuji K-series micro guides, and a poly-prism holographic finish. Retail price on this series of rods is projected at $199.
