A Preview of Pinnacle's upcoming Tournament Class Reels (continued)

Performa XLT/XT & Producer Series: Next up in the lineup are Pinnacle's Performa XLT and XT reels which are designed for budget-minded bass fishermen seeking professional-grade quality and performance at an even lower price. The difference between the models are finish, bearing count and gear ratios. The Performa reels and even more affordable Producer series are designed to offer exceptional bang for the buck performance and also feature magnetic cast control systems, plus many of the same features of Pinnacle’s top-tier Optimus models.

The Performa XLT is an affordably priced reel with plenty of features including the titanium coated sideplates and a ultra fast 7.0:1 gear ratio

The Producer XT is designed to be an aggressively priced reel that is both smooth and reliable, it also weighs in at a respectable 7.8oz

Like all of the Pinnacle Tournament Class reels both the Performa and Producer series reels come with the company's carbon fiber drag washers. These multi-stack drag systems incorporate cross-woven uni-directional carbon drag washers for superior smoothness, consistency and fish-stopping power. The Performa XLT/XT reels also feature the same titanium deposition finish found on the Optimus XLT/XT reels while the Producer has a more traditional painted finish.

It isn't just baitcasting reels this season, Pinnacle's new Performa XT spinning reels will also launch this ICAST and features a useful maintenance implementation that allows for easy access to the roller assembly

Performa XT Spinning Reels: In addition to the Tournament Class baitcasters Pinnacle will also be introducing spinning reels under the Performa series. Each Tournament Class Performa™ XT Spinning Reel features a durable, cold-forged ported aluminum spool. The precision cross-drilled holes on the skirt of the spool ensure optimum balance and help reduce reel weight. The reels make use of a sealed, waterproof drag housing designed to keep water, moisture and impurities away from the washers and system components.

The uniquely designed handle arm on our Tournament Class Performa XT Spinning Reel is not only strong and durable, it folds down conveniently with the touch of a button for easy transport and storage. Pinnacle makes maintenance easy with a Quick Access Bearing Lien Roller. This exclusive “Quick Access” design reduces line twist (ResistTwist™), and all it takes is the removal of a single screw to access and clean the stainless steel bearing and roller assembly inside. The Performa finesse spinning reels priced will be priced at $99.99 (MSRP) and will launch at the same time as the baitcast models. Look for more information about Pinnacle's lineup at the upcoming ICAST show. This year perhaps more than other Pinnacle is looking to make a bold statement about both their reel and rod offerings and is looking to move up the performance spectrum.
